QUARTERBACKS
HOT - Could Tom Brady tie Peyton Manning's passing TD record (49) in week 15?...all he needs is 4 TDs against the hapless Jets. Tony Romo is having one of the best seasons ever played by a quarterback...too bad he's being somewhat overshadowed by Brady's "best NFL QB ever" season. Peyton Manning is making up ground, but won't eclipse Romo's or Brady's numbers (esp. if he continues to play only one half of football per game). Despite beginning in Cleveland as a backup QB (some thought 3rd string), Derek Anderson has been incredible and proved he is a quality starting NFL QB. Brett Favre still has it. For Drew Brees, his surge may be too little too late for the Saints in 2007. Matt Hasselbeck may go off again in week 15. Ben Roethlisberger isn't producing quite like he was a few weeks ago.
COLD - Are you kidding?...Vince Young has played in all but one game and has just 7 passing TDs through week 14!?! Joey Harrington and the Falcons will be happy to have this season in the rear view mirror. So what happens to Daunte Culpepper next season (ditto for J.P. Losman)? Alex Smith was way overrated. Is David Carr really as bad as he's looked the last two years? Byron Leftwich can't stay healthy enough to see whether he can help anyone.

RUNNING BACKS
HOT - After a poor start (for him), LaDainian Tomlinson has risen to the top. Brian Westbrook continues with his versatility despite the opponent or varied performance from the rest of the Philly offense. Joseph Addai is a perfect fit in Indy's offense (and on any fantasy team). Adrian Peterson lost a couple of weeks to injury, but he's back on the field behind an O-line designed for his young talents. Willis McGahee and Jamal Lewis keep on chugging. Marion Barber is a TD machine and is putting up some nice yardage this season. Tampa's Earnest Graham is one of the hottest RBs going. LenDale White has a great matchup in week 15...let's see how far he climbs in the stat list.
COLD - Brandon Jacobs was a top ten sleeper heading into this season...and his injuries have kept him to limited potential production. Julius Jones can't do anything with Marion Barber in the same backfield. Shaun Alexander and Rudi Johnson have made some strides of late...but are way off their preseason expectations. Just how is New England blowing teams out by 40 and Laurence Maroney not a top 3 RB????

WIDE RECEIVERS
HOT - Randy Moss and Terrell Owens wide receiving blueprints for perfection. Braylon Edwards wasn't ranked in the top 20 prior to 2007, but has performed admirably all season in Cleveland's up and coming offense. Reggie Wayne is climbing, but the lack of Marvin Harrison has drawn double coverage on Wayne and hurt his numbers this season...he still may somehow finish the season as 4th best. T.J. Houshmandzadeh has been the lone bright spot in Cincinnati's underachieving offense. Greg Jennings (not Donald Driver) has emerged as Brett Favre's primary big play weapon in Green Bay. Marques Colston has been coming on like gangbusters of late...but he may be too late for a Saints playoff slot. Brandon Marshall is the real deal in Denver.
COLD - Let's face it, Chris Chambers, Deion Branch, and Reggie Brown began 2007 as their teams' top receivers and thought of as strong top 20 overall fantasy WRs...but their production to date is well below expectations. Santana Moss has just one TD on 46 catches while teammate TE Chris Cooley has 7 TDs and 130 more yards with just 12 additional receptions. Former number 1's Darrell Jackson and Drew Bennett aren't getting it done with their new teams. Marvin Harrison won't put up stats as long as he rides the pine. Javon Walker isn't 100%.

TIGHT ENDS
HOT - Jason Witten is gaining on Antonio Gates and could easily pass him in the last 3 weeks of the season. Tony Gonzalez has had strong 2nd half production for the Chiefs (although KC has spiraled). Kellen Winslow has as much talent as anyone on this list, but needs a few more TDs to climb to the top (same thing last year when he finished with 89 catches with just 3 TDs). Chris Cooley has become the favorite receiver in Washington and is perhaps presently the hottest producing tight in the league. Dallas Clark is tied with Gates for the most TDs for a TE in the league...especially impressive since Clark missed a few games due to injury and has just 50 catches. Heath Miller has fallen a little off the pace. Jeremy Shockey needs to turn a few more of his catches into TDs while Benjamin Watson needs a few more catches with some yardage.
COLD - Remember how Alge Crumpler was supposed to finish in the top 5 (with a chance to finish even higher)?...thank Michael Vick for helping seal his fate. Todd Heap is done for the season. Jerramy Stevens went from the Superbowl to has-been...and the latest? - Stevens was suspended this week by the league for one game.
