Heath Miller may be one of the hottest players in the NFL at this point in the season. Miller has scored 5 TDs in his last five games and looks to add to his totals as the Steelers play the Jets this weekend.

Scout.com compiles the HOT 'n COLD players through each week of the NFL season (fantasy owners take note). Check below for a grid of stats & commentary through week 10 and be sure to check back for further updates each week.

QUARTERBACKS

HOT - Although Tom Brady had a bye in week 10, nobody came close enough to make an argument as to who will finish with the best QB numbers in 2007. Brady is in all liklihood going to have the best numbers ever produced for an NFL quarterback in one season (barring an injury). It's a battle for 2nd between Tony Romo, Derek Anderson, Ben Roethlisberger, Peyton Manning, and Brett Favre...with 7 games left in the 16 game season, anyone could step up. Carson Palmer, Drew Brees, and Matt Hasselbeck could bring it on in the last 7 games...and all have the "need to win" factor going for them. Keep in mind that only 3 QBs had more than 25 TDs last season (Manning, Palmer, and Brees) and only 5 of last year's QBs threw for 4000 yards or more.

COLD - None of these guys seem to be getting it done and most are being replaced this week due to lack of performance. For week 11, Damon Huard has been pulled in favor of Brodie Croyle, Joey Harrington likely loses his starting job to Byron Leftwich, Josh McCown will sit and watch again what Daunte Culpepper can do, and Steve McNair will return to the sidelines and yeild to Kyle Boller. Alex Smith hasn't done much more when he's been the lineup than when he's been on the bench...and it appears his injuries may bench him in week 11. Only Vince Young is stable, and he isn't exactly putting up quality numbers...but he is winning games for the Tennessee Titans.

RUNNING BACKS

HOT - Rookie Adrian Peterson left week 11 with a torn LCL, but vows to be back this season...so we'll leave the rookie here for now as the most productive NFL RB to date. Brian Westbrook is number 2 in production and had another huge game in week 10, but Westy is a bit banged up heading toward this weekend's matchup. LaDainian Tomlinson and Joseph Addai have amazingly similar numbers at the position and will take this contest down to the wire as to who finishes with better stats. Marshawn Lynch may not play this weekend with a sprained knee. Marion Barber has cooled a little since the beginning of the season, but 7 TDs are a nice total for any NFL RB through 9 games and not to be discounted. Willie Parker is second in rushing yardage, but needs a few more touchdowns to move a bit higher on our performance list...Fast Willie gets a nice matchup in week 11.

COLD - Cedric Benson put up enough totals in week 10 to move him out of the cold....but Benson rushed for a mere 2.6 yards per carry in the Chicago victory (not much more than his average for the season - Benson could lose more touches to Adrian Peterson from this point forward). Thomas Jones and Laurence haven't combined for even one score in their collective 18 games?!?...wow. Shaun Alexander didn't play in week 10 and won't play in week 11..."Alex the Great" may be cheering from the sidelines for the rest of the season. Despite the high-powered Cowboy offense, Julius Jones continues to share the Dallas backfield with Marion Barber. What happened to DeAngelo Wiliams? Rudi Johnson certainly isn't living up to preseason expectations.

WIDE RECEIVERS

HOT - Braylon Edwards, Terrell Owens, and T.J. Houshmandzadeh gained a little bit of ground on Randy Moss during the Pats week 10 bye, but Moss has the definite edge heading into the final 7 games of the season. Reggie Wayne is about the only wide receiver left in the Indy offense. Plaxico Burress claims his ankle is worse than it has been all season, but Burress should still play in week 11. Larry Fitzgerald had a nice week 10 and may have started his surge. Steve Smith is suffering from the quarterback woes in Carolina, but has the numbers and the talent to have a huge week at any point (regardless of the QB). Marques Colston seems to have regained his timing with QB Drew Brees in New Orleans.

COLD - Calvin Johnson's statistics aren't that bad for a rookie...but Johnson isn't just any rookie. Calvin Johnson is the most highly heralded rookie wide receiver in years...and just 2 TD receptions in a Mike Martz offense isn't quite getting it done. Chris Chambers got out of Miami and went to San Diego with a chance to win and perform well...so what has he done since arriving? - nothing. Marvin Harrison is still injured (and has an excuse)...but here's what I don't get: Tony Dungy says every week that Marvin could play if a playoff game...wasn't the New England game valuable enough to be a playoff game? As a result, the Colts must play New England on the road in the postseason. Like Harrison, Javon Walker and Santana Moss have been banged up. Darrell Jackson and Joe Horn have disappeared from the ranks of the league's elite..

TIGHT ENDS

HOT - As predicted in preseason, Antonio Gates is on top and followed closely by Kellen Winslow Jr. Tony Gonzalez just keeps on ticking. Heath Miller may be one of the hottest players in the NFL at this point in the season. Dallas Clark is set to return to the lineup in week 11 and should have a big week for the Colts. Jeremy Shockey was huge in week 10 with 12 (TWELVE) catches for 125 yards and a TD against the Cowboys. The Packers signed Donald Lee to a long term contract this past week.

COLD - L.J. Smith is back in the Eagle lineup...let's see if L.J. can put up some decent numbers in week 11 and move back within the top ranks of the league's tight ends.
