Eli Manning feels rejuvenated by new offense

The 11-year veteran will look to rebound after an underwhelming 2013 campaign.

I mentioned this in passing earlier today, but the Giants are installing a new offensive this year under new offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo. Much like what Gary Kubiak is doing in Baltimore, McAdoo's system revolves around quick-hit passes and timing routes. Jordan Raanan of the Newark Star-Ledger says the system is "the single biggest change for the Giants this offseason" and has "rejuvenated" quarterback Eli Manning. "Being tasked with learning a new system seems to have rejuvenated a somewhat stagnant Manning, who happens to be coming off a 27-interception season," Raanan wrote Monday. "He admitted spending more time studying and focusing on the intricacies of the offense. He admitted being more mentally stimulated this offseason than in previous year."

Fantasy Analysis

Such a system was a boon for Philip Rivers last year. Manning is just 33 years old and considering what he has done in the past, such a rebound season is within reason. The Giants really need their young wideouts to step up, but Manning has sizable value as a late-round QB2.
